Tim Burton made Johnny Depp famous.

It takes a director who lets people get away with being too good to be true. Late Baby Boomers. In turn, Johnny Depp let Tim Burton get famous, for things like The Nightmare Before Christmas, which "if I'm not mistaken" is a controversial topic, though Tim Burton's original drawings look good and very skilled. (Someone else directed it. I think Tim Burton only did the original 2D drawings and their story.) Tim Burton changed the name of art and he was very well-liked by popular generations of Generation YZ kids and their Late Baby Boomer parents who must have had them in their late 30s or early 40s. (I noticed my generation and people like me were given up on when they started coming to some fruition.)
